The DEATH File
The DEATH File
(an experimental HTML horror experience about something that was never meant to be found)
“He kept me. I don’t know why. But I was never alone.”
You click. You open. You read. You regret.
About the Game:
The DEATH File is a short, disturbing horror experiment.
You navigate through a decaying dark web simulator, stumble upon a strange article titled "death",
and what follows... shouldn’t exist.
This game was created in just under two days, using only HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
It’s messy, broken, glitchy – exactly how it was meant to feel.
Content Warning:
-
Explores themes of death, obsession, and distorted digital reality
-
Includes visual content inspired by real criminal cases
-
The story is entirely fictional – any resemblance to real events is purely coincidental
-
All sound effects are safe and royalty-free
What to Expect:
-
A corrupted, eerie dark web browser interface
-
Fragmented articles, disturbing images, and strange downloads
-
A tense soundscape of static, glitches, and unsettling silence
-
Completely free to play – donations are appreciated
(but honestly, I just release weird stuff when I have the time and the urge – no schedule, no hype)
